County Council Chairperson abandons Louth Health

Councillor Tomás Sharkey is disgusted at the abandonment of Louth Health Services by Council Chairperson, Declan Breathnach.
Cllr Sharkey says
"At last Monday's council meeting we in Sinn Féin raised the ongoing failure of Deputies Kirk and Ahern to attend and discuss the Health Crisis in county Louth. Cllr Breathnach said that the TDs have regular meetings with council mamagement and that the council's views are conveyed to them there. I enquired of Cllr Breathnach if he raised our concerns regarding the Health Service at this forum and he told us he had not.
"I believe Cllr Breathnach is not doing his job as council chairperson, he is refusing to represent the unanimous view of the Council and is ignoring the imminent closeure of our hospital services. It is now time for Breathnach to ACT or Stand Down in Disgrace!
